Provenance: signed to us in person at a literature event in London on 21 November.

Condition: a near fine book with a whiff of foxing to the page block. No previous owners’ names inside the book. The dust jacket is ytpically faded on the spine and on the left edge of the front panel.

‘Copernicus’ won Banville the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
