McCarthy, Cormac (1992) ‘All the Pretty Horses’, US uncorrected proof copy

Cormac McCarthy (1992) ‘All the Pretty Horses‘, US uncorrected proof copy, published by Alfred A. Knopf. There seem to be two proof variants of this title. This variant states under the title “Volume One of A Border Trilogy” where the ‘A’ is crossed out and the article ‘the’ written above; and where the definite publication date is written by hand rather than typed. Also, the Advance Praise sheet is stapled to the reverse front wrap. A second variant of the proof has the subtitle written correctly, the publication date is printed and there is no sheet stapled. Logic would dictate that this variant preceeds the other.
