The book has been signed by artist Stephen Gervais and by the writer of the introduction Ruth Franklin, author of A Rather Haunted Life, an award-winning biography of Shirley Jackson.

Smyth-sewn quarter binding, with a Japanese cloth spine and embossed paper boards. The front cover is die-cut, and the spine features a leather foil-stamped label. The edition is printed letterpress on Mohawk Superfine, and is housed in a slipcase covered with a wood grain paper. A cast iron key escutcheon is inset into the side of the case.

‘The Haunting of Hill House’ is Shirley Jackson’s masterpiece of modern horror. Published in 1959, the novel would inspire other great writers of the horror genre such as Stephen King. It was adapted as a film twice in 1963 and 1999, as well as a TV-series in 2018.
