Condition: a very good book in a beautiful near fine dust jacket. One contemporary Xmas 1943 gift inscription in black ink on the ffep. Foxing to the ffep and prelims, thereafter clean. Boards are clean as shown with the magnifying glass and fingerprint on the front as done for the entire series. The dust jacket is a beauty and best we have ever seen. It is the correct first issue wrapper showing the 5s net price. No repairs whatsoever. Minimal edge wear as shown and a few foxing spots. Exceptionally rare in this condition.
Enid Blyton (1897-1968), a bestselling children books author, is the fourth most translated writer in literature. Her books are still popular around the globe despite serious children books market competition from the likes of J.K. Rowling, Philip Pullman and others.
