Enid Blyton (1948) ‘Five Go Off To Camp‘, UK first edition, first printing, published by Hodder & Stoughton. The seventh book in the ‘Famous Five Series’. Together with an original handwritten and signed Blyton letter dated 12 November 1959. The letter is written on Blyton’s personal stationary.

Condition of the letter: near fine with slight handling wear and usual central fold, not affecting the signature.

Condition of the book: a near fine book in like dust jacket. There is a gift dedication on the half-title page. Internally clean. Nice boards. The scarce first issue dust jacket is NOT price clipped with just a triffle of edge wear. Hard to find in this or better condition.

Enid Blyton (1897-1968), a bestselling children books author, is the fourth most translated writer in literature. Her books are still popular around the globe despite serious children books market competition from the likes of J.K. Rowling, Philip Pullman and others.
