Harris, Thomas (1988) ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, UK signed first edition

Thomas Harris (1988) ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, UK first edition, first printing, signed by the author with the inscription “To Chris Jones with best wishes [signature] London September 1988”. UK signed first edition are much scarcer than US first editions as Thomas Harris never attends any literature festivals and does not engage in public appearances. This copy was obviously signed at the time of publication when Harris must have given a rare tour in the UK before the film adaptation catapulted him to stardom. The inscription lends the signature additional authenticity.

Condition: the book is near fine with page block ageing (discolouration/ natural yellowing and a whiff of foxing)
