Cookies, Privacy & Security

We’ve have always been incredibly careful with our client’s data and privacy. We have been fully compliant with GDPR since it was introduced on 25th May 2018 and with CCPA, the Californian equivalent which was introduced in the same year. Our old website used a fairly simple cookie consent banner as well as privacy and cookie policies which were designed for worldwide use.

Increasingly, additional US states and other countries have been introducing online privacy laws similar to GRPR and CCPA. Many of them have different requirements and this matters to us as we sell to clients in many different countries including the US, Australia and nations within the Middle East and Asia. Whilst designing our new Internet site over the last few months we have looked at a wide range of options to ensure that we are compliant around the world.

Our chosen solution uses a geolocation system to detect where in the world a user is visiting our site from. The privacy policies, cookie policies and terms and conditions displayed on the site will then vary according to the local jurisdiction. We also have a more sophisticated cookie consent banner that allows users to choose which cookies are used on our site. We have chosen to use a subscription service that is updated as new privacy laws are introduced, or existing ones updated, keeping us compliant on a worldwide basis in the long term.

If you feel the need to opt out, that’s fine – our new site will work if you opt out of cookies although they are intended to optimise it. It helps us if you opt in though: We use google analytics 4 which gives us fully anonymised data about how people use our site, which helps us to know where we can improve it. Also feel fully assured that we never, under any circumstances, sell your data, and that we do our utmost to ensure that we always protect it.
