Stephen King (1978) ‘The Stand‘, US first edition, first printing, published by Doubleday. Signed and inscribed by the author on the ffep: “For Charles – | all best wishes | Stephen King | 9.12/91“. Housed in an aftermarket tray case for protection.

Condition: a near fine copy in like dust jacket. Minuscule shelf wear, otherwise a beautiful copy as shown. The book is square and tight; the lettering on the spine NOT rubbed out and vibrant. No previous owner’s scribbles, no bookplates, no stamps. Dust jacket is NOT price clipped.

Adapted as a TV-seris in 1994, and once more in 2019/20. Considered by many King fans as his best novel. Gained almost a prophetic quality following the Covid-19 pandemic.
