Andrzej Sapkowski (2008-2017) ‘Witcher Saga‘, signed UK first editions and first printings, published by Gollancz.

The set on offer consist of:

– ‘Blood of Elves‘ (2008) hardback, first edition, first print, SIGNED on the title page; the first vol. in the ‘Witcher Saga’

– ‘Time of Contempt‘ (2013) hardback, first edition and print, SIGNED on the ffep; the second vol. in the ‘Witcher Saga’

– ‘The Lady of the Lake‘ (2017) pbo, first edition and print, SIGNED on the title page; the fifth vol. in the ‘Witcher Saga’

Condition: all three books are fine and unread.

All three books were signed to me in person at a promotional event in Birmingham (UK) on 17 March 2017. First edition copies are exceptionally difficult to obtain. The hardback volumes’ print run was very low and most of the books ended up in libraries with the usual stamps.

Missing are vol. 3 ‘Baptism of Fire’ (2014) and vol. 4 ‘The Tower of Swallows’ (2016). These, like the last book ‘The Lady of the Lake’, have only been published as paperback originals. The publisher Gollancz ought to be ashamed that no better quality hardbacks have been released for the final three books.

Andrzej Sapkowski, the ‘Polish Tolkien‘, has been translated into more than 30 languages with millions of copies sold world wide. His Saga was further popularised through the Witcher video games, a Polish cinema movie, as well as a TV-series. Apparently Hollywood is tackling the source material and is in the process to produce a blockbuster.
