Condition: near fine in a very good plus dust jacket. The book is almost like new without any inscriptions, no bookplates, no stamps etc. A few ageing spots to the page block edges. A beautiful copy. The rarely seen original first state dust jacket is not price clipped, not faded on the spine, and only has a few close tears to the folds.

A landmark American novel of world literature contributing to Steinbeck’s Nobel Prize. Filmed in 1955 starring the iconic James Dean. Steinbeck considered ‘East of Eden’ his best and most ambitious book.
