Smith, Wilbur (1965) ‘Iets Moet Sterf (When the Lion Feeds)’, Afrikaans signed and lined first edition

Wilbur Smith (1965) ‘Iets Moet Sterf‘, Rhodesian first edition, first impression, published by Nasionale Boekhandel Bpk. This is the Afrikaans translation of ‘When the Lion Feeds’. Signed by the author on the title page with a line added in Afrikaans: ‘Net sussie dra frokkies’ which translates to something like ‘only softies wear vests’.

Condition: a very good to near fine copy in a good plus dust jacket which has some edge wear and stain to the rear spine. Title and author are clearly legible on the dust jacket’s spine. It is prone to fading but this specimen is quite nice.
