King, Stephen (1980) ‘Firestarter’, signed first edition

Stephen King (1980) ‘Firestarter’, US first edition, first printing, published by Viking. Signed and dated by King on the ffep around publication date. All first edition points present:

1. Viking’s original address on the copyright page and separately on the dustjacket. 625 Madison Avenue on both.
   
2. Words “First Published in 1980” on the copyright page
3. Issue price of $13.95 on the dustjacket
4. Size of 9.5″h x 6.25″w
5. Two color boards (black and orange)

Condition: a near fine copy for the most pedantic of judges. Remarkably well preserved copy in a near dust jacket which is just slightly discoloured on the edges (ageing).

‘Firestarter’ had a print run of 100,000 copies, moderate in current King standards when first editions hit the million mark. Adapted in 1984 as a movie starring young Drew Barrymore.
