Shelley, Mary (1983) ‘Frankenstein’, signed limited edition introduced by Stephen King

Mary Shelley (1983) ‘Frankenstein’, US signed limited edition, published by Dodd, Mead & Co. One of only 500 copies of which this is no. 371. Introduced and signed by Stephen King; illustrated and signed by Berni Wrightson.

Condition: near fine overall. Slipcase has usual slight shelf wear. The glassine wrapper is still present and protected in removable mylar. It has a tear at the bottom and some edge wear at the top. However, most copies lack the wrapper altogether as it looks like ‘sandwich paper’ rather than an actual dust jacket and hence, most people would have discarded it. The actual book is near fine with a tiny bump to the bottom corner. Great value for this scarce edition.

A landmark novel which has received a nice treatment in this edition.
