King, Stephen (1974) ‘Carrie’, US signed first edition
Stephen King (1974) ‘Carrie’, US signed first edition, published by Doubleday. Signed and inscribed by King “For Scott, Best, [Stephen King]”. All first issue points present: ‘First Edition’ written on the copyright page, and P6 gutter code on last page as called for. Dust jacket is correctly priced at $5.95.
Condition: near fine in a near fine dust jacket. The only flaw to the book is the previous owner’s name neatly written in red ink on the ffep. Otherwise a beautiful and unread copy. Clean, bright with no bumps, no foxing, no nothing. The dust jacket is near fine with only one flaw: a stain on the spine just above the ‘S’ of Stephen King as pictured. Otherwise, not clipped an no other wear. Great value. We also have a mint condition copy in stock with an amazing inscription which, however, is priced at a considerable premium compared to this near fine copy.
‘Carrie’, the master of horror’s debut novel has been adapted multiple times as feature films, theatre plays and Broadway Musicals. It launched King’s long and successful career and the man has never stopped writing since. A landmark novel.
