Jodido, Philip (2009) ‘Hadid: Complete Works 1979-2009’, signed limited Art Edition
Philip Jodido (2009) ‘Zaha Hadid: Complete Works 1979-2009’, signed limited Art Edition, published by TASCHEN. This is no. 31 of only 200 Art Edition copies, signed by star architect Zaha Hadid.
The original publisher’s price was GBP 1,750 and the book is long sold out. Our price is considerably lower due to the condition issues (see description below and pictures). The book’s cover is a “custom-made cast and high gloss polish black acrylic cover designed by Hadid and inspired by the design of the MAXXI Museum in Rome. With photographs, in-depth texts, and abundant drawings, the monograph follows the detailed progression of Hadid’s career, including not only her revolutionary buildings but also her furniture and interior designs that became part of her holistic, and distinctly 21st-century, universe. A special section with translucent vellum paper, allowing multiple layers of designs to be viewed together or separately.” For further production details please see the publisher’s website: https://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/architecture/all/00393/facts.zaha_hadid_complete_works_19792009_art_edition.htm
Condition: good only. The book and clamshell case had contact with water resulting in the upper roughly twenty percent of the paper to become wavy after drying (pictures 9-11). Some of the pages are more affected than others. Since the paper used for this book is glossy most pages have only become wavy. Some pages have slight loss of print as a result of being stuck together and than peeled apart (see pictures 18-19 as an example) The last section of the book that summarises Hadid’s work has moderate ‘bleeding’ from the clamshell case at the top (see picture 22 as an example). The book’s acrylic cover is unaffected. The book”s rear cover shows evidence of water contact as well as the clamshell case (see picture 12-13). The content of the book is perfectly readable and the high quality pictures can be enjoyed. Nevertheless this collectable book is water damaged, hence our low price. If it was in fine condition we would not sell it for under GBP 2,000 so this is a chance to own one of only 200 copies at a considerable discount.
The book including its case weighs 9kg. Including adequate packaging the total weight will be approximately 11kg. We can ship to anywhere in the world. Please get in touch for a shipping quote to your country.
