J.K. Rowling (2008) ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard’, UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed and inscribed ‘to Jamie’ by Rowling on the half-title. Includes the official hologram authenticating the signature. Signed copies not bearing the hologram are most likely fakes. There was no official promotional signing event.

Condition: fine with no issues. No dust kacket as issued.

Rowling signed a few copies to a few kids in Scotland who won a contest. Famously, Rowling handwrote seven ‘Beedle the Bard’ copies. One copy was auctioned off by Rowling for charity and fetched a staggering GBP 1.95 million; the other six copies went to people who supported her writing the ‘Harry Potter’ series. One of them was Barry Cunningham, publisher at Bloomsbury who signed up the story about a young wizard boy with glasses.
