Liu, Cixin (2014, 2015, 2016) ‘The Three-Body Problem’, signed US first editions
Cixin Liu (2014, 2015, 2016) ‘The Three-Body Problem’ trilogy. US first editions, first prints published by Tor Books in the USA. All three books have been signed by author Cixin Liu on the title page. In addition, translator Ken Liu signed the first and third volume as well. The second volume was not translated by Ken Liu but by Joel Martensen). These books were signed to us in person at the 75th WorldCon in Helsinki, Finland and we have provenance of the signing. Liu was nominated for the Hugo for ‘Death’s End’ at the Worldcon 2017 which gave us the rare opportunity to get these books signed.
Condition: The first volume is in near fine condition, volume two and three in fine condition. The first book which is the most valuable of the series is WITHOUT a remainder mark. Most first volume first editions have been remaindered with a black dot to the page block as the book was a slow seller in the English-language world. When the book won the Hugo Award and Mark Zuckerberg recommended the novel as the best read of 2015 sales skyrocketed. We are proud to be able to offer a copy without any remainder marks!
The Three-Body Problem won the prestigious Hugo Award in 2015 and was shortlisted for the Nebula. ‘Death’s End’ was shortlisted for the 2017 Hugo. The Chinese have adapted the series for cinema.
