‘Fahrenheit 451’ needs no introduction. The landmark book of the dytopian sci-fi genre is read in schools around the globe in its many translations. Several limited and illustrated editions have been published since its original publication in 1953 with many artists creating their visions of the novel. The first signed limited edition (1953) – published by Ballantine simultanously with the first edition – was bound in asbestos as a play with the title. Since asbestos has carcinogenic properties this aluminium bound version will cost the buyer less and will be less hazerdous to health should your library ever go up in flames like in ‘Fahrenheit 451’.
