Peter Carey (1988) ‘Oscar and Lucinda’, UK first edition, first printing, published by Faber. Signed on the title page without further inscriptions. Signed to us in person at a literature event on 17 January 2018 in London.

Condition: very good plus. Slight shelf wear and usual toning to page block edges due to poor paper quality used by the publisher (high acidity in paper which reacts with oxygen leading to gradual browning over time). Dust jacket is not price clipped.

‘Oscar and Lucinda’ won the 1988 (Man) Booker Prize for fiction. Carey won the prize once more in 2001 for ‘True History of the Kelly Gang’.
