Condition: a fine, unread copy with clean pages and boards. Very good unclipped dust jacket with colour fade on the spine. A beautiful copy.

Clavell, besides writing historical novels set in Asia, is also remembered in Hollywood as a screenplay writer of his own work and others, e.g. The Fly (1958); The Great Escape (1963). His Shogun (1975) was adapted into a TV series in 1980 and once more in 2024 reigniting interest in Clavell’s work. Noble House was adapted in 1988 with a young Pierce Brosnan playing Ian Dunross.
