King, Stephen (1975) ‘Salem’s Lot’, US signed and inscribed early print published by Doubleday
Stephen King (1975) ‘Salem’s Lot‘, US first edition later printing (from 1978), published by Doubleday. Signed and inscribed by the author on the ffep: “To Ross | Good wishes – | Stephen King | 9/9/79.” Housed in an aftermarket tray case which protects the book beautifully on the shelf.
The gutter code on the inner margin of the last page states ‘T42’ which would make the printing 1978, the same year as ‘The Stand’ which bears ‘T39’ in the first edition copies.
Condition: a near fine book which is square and with sharp corners. No previous owner’s scribbles, no bookplates, no stamps. Only flaw is a whiff of foxing to the top page blush edge. The front and bottom page block edges are beautiful and white. The dust jacket is in fine condition. It displays a USD 8.95 price on the front flap with ‘Father Callahan’ in the blurb.
Stephen King’s second novel.
