Stephen King (1978) ‘The Stand’, US first edition, first printing, published by Doubleday. Signed and inscribed by King on the ffep in 1979 with early bold signature.

Condition: book is near fine for the most pedantic of judges, in a near fine first state dust jacket. There is no lean; the boards are clean, the corners sharp; and book is clean throughout without any further inscriptions. A whiff of foxing to top page block edges and a few foxing sprinkles to front past down and ffep as pictured. The first state dust jacket shows the correct price of $12.95. Slight wear to the jacket’s edges as pictured. All first edition issue points present: “First Edition” printed on the copyright page and T39 gutter code on page 823 as called for.

‘The Stand’ is Stephen King’s fourth novel which had a moderate print run of 70,000 copies. It was nominated for the World Fantasy and Locus Award.
