Stephen King (1978) ‘The Stand‘, US first edition, first printing, published by Doubleday. Housed in a bespoke solander box in quarter bound leather and marbled sides, with five raised bands, author, title and ‘First Edition’ stamped in gild and leather tips. The box preserves and presents the book beautifully on the shelf.

Condition: a gorgeous absolutely fine copy in like dust jacket with no flaws whatsoever. In modern book collecting parlance one can apply superlatives like very fine or mint.

The Stand was published in 1978 and was issued in 70,000 first print copies.
