Quarter leather binding with Japanese cloth boards, and is limited to 250 copies. The leather spine is foil stamped, and the cover includes an inset print of the The Road engraving by Richard Wagener. Endsheets are Thai mango leaf, and the edition is printed offset on Mohawk Via Vellum Flax paper. It is housed in a cloth covered slipcase.

‘The Road’ was originally published in 2006 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2007 as well as the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. In 2009 it was adapted as a film starring Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Robert Duval and Charlize Theron.

Please note: Cormac McCarthy never signs any books of ‘The Road’ and any copies ‘signed by the author’ which come up on the market are forgeries. The novel is a love letter to Cormac’s youngest son John (born 1998), and the author reportedly signed 250 first edition copies upon publication for his son as a gift. John is free to sell any of his copies whenever he pleases. However, no reported copies are known to have been sold as of today.
