About the association: Richard Centing (1936-2017) was a librarian at Ohio State University who published a newsletter devoted to Anais Nin and her friends known as the ‘Anais’ Circle’. The newsletter was called ‘Under the Sign of Pisces’, which Nin refers to in the inscription to vol.1. Nin also called the newsletter a ‘Café in Space’ (inscription in vol.4) which allowed the circle to thrive. Without the help and devotion of Richard Centing the work of Anais Nin would have been less known.
Anais Nin became most known for her erotica such as ‘House of Incest‘ ‘Delta of Venus‘ and ‘Little Birds‘ of which many were published posthumously, as well as for Henry and June: From the Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin, filmed in 1990 as ‘Henry and June‘
