Terry Pratchett (1987) ‘Mort‘, UK first edition, first printing, published by Victor Gollancz in association with Colin Smythe. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page: “To Roger | best wishes | Terry Pratchett | 2 April ’88”. The fourth instalment in the seminal Discworld series with a print run of 3,950 copies only.

Provenance: From the collection of the late Roger Earnshaw, a SF and Fantasy collector who attended many conventions around the world (Novacons, Eastercons and Worldcons) where he would have ample opportunity to get his books signed.

Condition: a fine copy with a near fine dust jacket. No previous owner’s scribbles, no bookplates, no stamps. Book feels unread. Page block clean with no foxing. Boards clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is clipped with a GBP 10.95 price sticker attached.

Mort is a fan favourite among the 41 Discworld novels.
