Condition: a fine book in a fine slipcase. As new with undisturbed ribbon marker indicating that the book has not even been read.

Quarter-bound goatskin leather, with Indian silk boards contained in scalloped leather decorated slipcases. Gilded top edges with ribbon page marker, Lettering on Slipcase and Book Spine designed by Calligrapher, John Andrew. Illustrations by legend in the trade Eric Fraser. All printed on acid-free paper which will not yellow during our lifetime.

Definitely the most beautiful fine edition of Tolkien’s grand-daddy of modern fantasy at an affordable price.
