Condition: a near fine copy without any previous owners’ scribbles, no bookplates, no stamps, internally clean, no foxing. Slight pushes to spine ends and usual toning of the paper commensurate with age. The dust jacket is not price clipped showing the original price of £10.99. Very small creases. A lovely clean exaple of this seminal book.

The famous first print which nowadays fetches tens of thousands depending on condition, had a print run of 500 copies, followed by a second print of 1,000 copies and this third print of 500 copies only [Errington 2017: 4].
