Paul Beatty (2015) ‘The Sellout’, US first edition, first printing, published by Ferrar, Straus and Giroux. Signed and lined “Silence can be either protest or consent, but most of the times it’s fear”. This is a quote from the book which captures the theme nicely. The book was signed to us in person at a literature vent in Birmingham on 1 June 2017.

Condition: essentially fine and unread with very slight shelf wear as pictured. NO remainder mark! Unread, clean and crisp. Dust jacket not clipped and fine. A very scarce book, one of the scarcest of the last 30 years of the Booker Prize.

‘The Sellout’ has won the Man Booker Prize as well as the National Book Critics Cricle Award.
