Robert McCammon is an Award-winning writer from Birmingham, Alabama. He made his name with horror fiction in the 80s and early 90s. The Matthew Corbett series set in the American colonies around the year 1700 are suspenseful historical fiction novels with horror elements. The stories are very visual and scream of TV adaptation which is only a question of time. Due to the popularity of the series the various publishers have increased the limitation numbers of the latest novels. However, only 274  numbered copies of Mister Slaughter were produced. Therefore, very few people have managed to collect a complete same-number set.
